Usiminas seeking to increase prices for its products by as much as 7%
Bloomberg quoted a person with knowledge of the plan as saying that the second largest Brazilian steel maker Usiminas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais SA is seeking to increase prices for its products by as much as 7%.
The person said that “Usiminas as the Belo Horizonte Brazil based company has informed clients that domestic prices will rise 3.5% to 7% on January 20th 2013.”
A press official for Usiminas in Belo Horizonte said that the company doesn’t comment on pricing.
